Building a Pinewood Derby Car isn't just about speed. It is also about design and creativity. The 3 cars above were created by Brendan McLaughlin and won the following awards:
1. USS Massachusetts car - Bear - Pack 125 Most Creative - After an overnight on the USS Massachusetts he came up with this idea idea.
2. Hot rod - Webelo I - Pack 125 Most Creative & 7 Rivers District Best Automotive Design
3. Guitar car - Webelo II - Pack 125 Scouts' Choice, Pack 125 Most Creative, and 7 Rivers District Best Original Design - His guitar car had a pick to replicate the guard, strings and even stain like a real guitar would.

Pack 80 Pinewood Derby - 2019
The Pinewood Derby is an event that all scouts are welcomed to participate in. They start with a plain block of pine that, with assistance of their parents, carve out any design they wish, within the rules of the derby. The scouts are able to participate in any of the following contests. Each scout may only place in 1 of the categories.
